The Bank of Russia will announce the key rate today. No surprises are expected, 4.25% will remain. At least, the analysts’ consensus is just that, and the Central Bank, if there is no force majeure, is in solidarity with the consensus.
In the absence of intrigue, I will only note that the regulator is showing a rare calm for itself. The key rate has not changed since July, i.e. for exactly 200 days. And if you save it, another 60 will not change. A greater period of stability was only from August 2015 to June 2016, when the rate was held at the same level for 316 days. True, the level was then 11%.
